June 12, 2014

North Bay, Ontario, Canada's Nipissing University ill bestowed honorary degrees to all three members of RUSH, along with six other Canadians, as the university celebrated the 2014 graduating class this week. Geddy Lee, Neil Peart and Alex Lifeson received Nipissing's first-ever honorary Doctorate Of Music earlier today (Thursday, June 12).

Lee and Lifeson had planned to attend the ceremony in person but could not do so as it was unsafe for their plane to land due to foggy conditions.

Geddy and Alex's videotaped acceptance speeches can be seen below.

"Rush: Clockwork Angels Tour" was released via Anthem/Roadrunner Records in November. Anthem/Zoe Vision/Rounder simultaneously released the companion DVD.

"Rush: Clockwork Angels Tour" was filmed and recorded in November 2012 at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas, during RUSH's highly successful "Clockwork Angels" tour. The eleven month-marathon world tour crossed North America twice and ventured overseas to Europe in support of the band's acclaimed 2012 studio release "Clockwork Angels".

"Rush: Clockwork Angels Tour" came on the heels of Anthem/Atlantic's September 2013 release of "Vapor Trails Remixed", a newly remixed version of the band's 2002 album "Vapor Trails" and 7-disc boxed set "The Studio Albums 1989-2007", which features every studio album RUSH recorded for Atlantic Records.
